Adam O'Neill
A survivor of the untamed bushland of rural Australia, Adam escaped for the safety of Sydney the day after he graduated high school—a date that happened to coincide with his eighteenth birthday. As so many young people do though, he fell in with a rough crowd. A sword wielding, armor wearing, pipe smoking gang of medieval-battle reenactors. Soon after he met his wife, Chana, he lost the armor but kept the pipe.
Shortly thereafter, Adam combined his love of the pipe with a new found passion, photography, which is how we found him and dragged him, kicking and screaming through customs, to South Carolina. We're glad we did, too: Adam began his career with us as a copywriter before making the transition to photography, and not long after that he combined the two roles to become our full-time Social Media Specialist.

Juste à côté de notre boutique de Nassau Street à Dublin est fixée une plaque de rue. Comme toutes les plaques de rue de la République d'Irlande - un pays qui se targue d'avoir deux langues officielles – elle comporte les noms anglais et irlandais de la rue. L'observateur avisé, ou du moins celui qui possède une certaine connaissance des conventions irlandaises en matière de noms de rue, peut toutefois remarquer une particularité. Au lieu du "Sráid Nassau" logiquement attendu, on lit "Sráid Thobar Phádraig", soit la rue du puits de Saint-Patrick.

Justo al lado de nuestra tienda, en la calle Nassau Street de Dublín, encontramos un cartel en una de las paredes del edificio. En él podemos observar el nombre de la calle en dos lenguas; inglés y gaélico, al igual que en todos los letreros de la República de Irlanda, un país que cuenta con ambas lenguas como sus idiomas oficiales. Hasta aquí, no hay nada fuera de lo normal, a menos que el lector entienda algo de las convenciones de los nombres de las calles irlandesas. En lugar del esperado Sráid Nassau, encontramos en su lugar 'Sráid Thobar Phádraig', o lo que es lo mismo en castellano, 'Calle del pozo de San Patricio'.

Proprio accanto al nostro negozio su Nassau Street a Dublino c'è un cartello stradale che, come tutti i cartelli nella Repubblica d'Irlanda, paese che vanta ufficialmente due lingue, è scritto sia in inglese che irlandese. Un osservatore attento o che almeno sappia qualcosa delle convenzioni irlandesi sulla segnaletica stradale, noterebbe una certa peculiarità. Infatti, invece di 'Sráid Nassau', leggiamo 'Sráid Thobar Phádraig', ovvero la Via del Pozzo di San Patrizio.

Right next to our store on Nassau Street in Dublin hangs a street sign. Wholly unremarkably it displays both the English and Irish names of the street, as do all street signs in the Republic of Ireland — a country that counts both as its official languages. That is all, of course, unless the viewer understands something of Irish street name conventions. Instead of the expected Sráid Nassau, this one states 'Sráid Thobar Phádraig', or The Street of St. Patrick's Well.
